About this Event

In celebration of 2026 being declared by the United Nations as the International Year of the Female Farmer, enjoy light refreshments and a powerful documentary produced by Audra Mulkern, founder of the Female Farmer Project.

Through a rich tapestry of stories, Women’s Work highlights the contributions of both historical and contemporary female farmers. The film offers a uniquely matrilineal perspective on American agriculture, featuring diverse voices and farming practices from across the country.

Following the screening, hear from local farmers Kathryn Thomas (Horse Drawn Farm), Christine Langley (Lopez Harvest) and Lena Jones (Still Light Farm) as they share their experiences farming on Lopez Island.

We hope you’ll join us for an evening of storytelling, connection, and community.
