Blending humour, history and heartfelt storytelling, the film celebrates the craft behind the screen and the communal experience of watching movies in a cinema. From analogue projection to evolving technologies, Splice Here captures the ingenuity and love that has sustained film culture across generations.
This special screening will be presented by Sir Bob Harvey, who will share stories from his time working as a cinema projectionist at the St James Theatre, reflecting on his long connection to film exhibition and local cinema culture. A rare opportunity to hear firsthand memories from one of West Auckland’s best‑known figures and a passionate advocate for the arts.
