Lookout Lake Park Stewardship Event #2 — SECOND DATE ADDED
Tucked up on Triangle Mountain, Lookout Lake is one of Colwood's true hidden gems. Its shady trail around the lake is beautiful in the summer — and it has a great backstory too: the lake was originally built as a man-made reservoir to supply water to loggers and soldiers stationed at the old Triangle Mountain observation post. A place with deep roots in this community.
Right now, that trail is under pressure from some of our most persistent invasive species: Scotch Broom, English Holly, Ivy, Daphne and Himalayan Blackberry. There's something for every skill level, so whether you're a seasoned FOCP veteran or this is your very first time, you are welcome here.
