Looking at Modern German Art at LACMA

LACMA has a strong collection in modern German art, thanks to the efforts of the Museum’s curators and most especially to the establishment in the Museum of the Robert Gore Rifkind Center for German Expressionist Studies. Art Muse lecturer Erika Esau, who was the librarian in the Rifkind Center, will talk about the two rooms in the Modern Art galleries focusing on early twentieth-century German art movements. Particularly exciting is the exhibition of German women artists’ works, chosen from the vast holdings of prints and illustrations in the Rifkind Center.
