Our University is committed to building on our proud record in Indigenous higher education, innovation and engagement and extending our collaboration and partnerships with Indigenous peoples of our regions and beyond.
Working closely with our Indigenous Strategy and Leadership office, and in conjunction with The Centre for Law and Social Justice, we have identified a panel of Indigenous leaders from within our University, to discuss the role our University plays in sharing information about the Indigenous Voice to Parliament referendum.

Event Agenda:
Keynote by Professor John Maynard
Professor John Maynard will show us the history behind our First Nations voice to Parliament and the referendum vote.
Panel Discussion
Hosted by Shahni Wellington, a panel of the University of Newcastle's leadership team will discuss the Voice to Parliament vote and what it means to them. Sitting on the panel to share their stories will be Nathan Towney, Dr. Ray Kelly, Kathleen Butler, Alumni Kishaya Delaney, and Professor John Maynard.
