Join us at the Mooretown Branch for a mural reveal featuring the poem “Look Up Child” by Caddo Parish Poet Laureate, Poetic X. The ”Look Up Child" mural servers to provide inspiration that encourages hope, education, poetry, and art within the community of Caddo Parish. The mural features artwork by award-winning visual artist Alex Richardson of Dasuq Arts. The poem, including the artwork, will be unveiled Tuesday, May 28th at 5pm at Shreve Memorial Library’s Mooretown Branch. The ‘Put A Poem On It' Public Mural Project is supported by funding from the Caddo Commission, in partnership with the Shreveport Regional Arts Council.
