Join us for the Longfellow River Gorge Festival on Sunday, September 7th, from 12-4 p.m. at West River Parkway and 34th-36th Streets. This free, family-friendly event is packed with fun ways to celebrate the Mississippi River, including free canoe rides, live music, ice cream, face painting, and more. Join a fascinating Rock Walk with a local geologist or join a Dakota history tour. Don't miss this chance to connect with your community and celebrate our beautiful river!
The Longfellow River Gorge festival is one of LCC’s longest running annual events. Each fall we honor and celebrate the Mississippi River, its history, and its vital ongoing importance to humans and wildlife. The festival educates community about the River’s functions and ecology in a fun and approachable way focusing on restoration and conservation.
Parking is limited: biking and walking encouraged!
