Car Park opposite The Crown, Norton Rd, Iverley, Stourbridge DY8 2RX
c.5.5 miles. Should be back c.1230.
Cross the road to the pub and proceed down Crown Lane for c.1/4 mile. Turn right up footpath to Ridge, turning left with views to right of Abberley and Clee hills. Continue to other side views, then descend into Churchill Village.
Turn left by the Church along Churchill Lane through the village, then turn right up past Churchill Forge and lake, over the top and down to cross railway line (2 stiles) then shortly turn left on track to Stakenbridge Lane.
Turn Left under railway, then cross to footpath on other side. This leads up to Brake Mill Farm, where we cross the old Roman Road, and continue straight up Lane to Brake Lane. This is part of Monarchs Way.
Turn right then almost immediately cross to footpath leading gently uphill, where we turn right on track over top then downhill, with good views of Hagley and Stourbridge. Halfway down, turn left in field before hedge leading to another track across the hillside.
Turn left uphill again up past underground Reservoirs / Water plant. This has good views to right across the whole of Stourbbridge and beyond to Dudley, etc.
Almost straight, we continue and cross the Roman Road again, straight on to narrowing footpath that emerges on Crown Lane next to the pub.
