Long-View Parent Information Session

Please join us for a Friday Parent Information Session (in-person, at Long-View) followed by a Live Virtual Walk-Through (via Zoom) of classrooms the following Monday morning. These are two separate events that are meant to be bundled together.

Parent Information Sessions (parents only, please!) give you a chance to learn more about the Long-View approach and what makes our school unique. Parent Information Sessions are in-person at Long-View Micro School, but they occur on a day that our students are not at school.

During a Parent Information Session, we'll start with a brief overview of our model and our philosophy and then look at video and photo artifacts that help you better understand our culture, the level of the academics, the depth of understanding the learners are working toward, how central discourse is to our pedagogy, and why our kids love learning. After the session ends, our teaching team will be happy to visit with you to answer your questions.

This year Parent Information Sessions are being held on Fridays so as to protect the health of our students. School is not in session on Fridays so you will not be observing the kids in action; however, we will be offering a Live Virtual Walk-Through the following Monday. You will receive the Zoom link for that event when you attend the Friday Parent Information Session.

Masks are required at Parent Information Sessions and we will be limiting available spots for Parent Information Sessions so please sign up early to ensure a spot for this admissions cycle. Unfortunately we can't accommodate everyone who wants to see the school and appreciate you waiting until next year to attend if your child is not yet of age to attend Long-View, ie entering 2nd-8th grades for the 2022-23 school year. Please sign up for both you and your spouse, if applicable, so that we have an accurate count of all participants.
