Lonesome Brothers with Quaboag Vibe Summer Celebration!
Lonesome Brothers ~ Nearly 40 years ago when New Wave was crashing & hair bands were making video history the Lonesome Brothers appeared. Nine records full of original songs and thousands of gig miles later, Jim Armenti and Ray Mason are still here. From the lowliest bar in the tiniest town of Western Mass to Town Hall in Manhattan, the Lonesome Brothers always do it right like it's supposed to be done. Their pumping, swaying, digging, rocking, blues busting, curve making, straight shooting songs and solos distinguish them from any other band you've ever heard. As one of the best live bands anywhere in New England, their storytelling & bantering amuses and enraptures. Their trademark of switching back & forth between Jim and Ray's original songs invokes a sense of fun, familiarity and spontaneous unpredictability.
.
Starting at Billy T's in West Springfield, the Hunt Club in Barre and Sheehan's Cafe in Northampton, the Lonesome Brothers have played thousands of live shows including Newport Folk Festival, Green River Festival and just too darn many to list. They've been heard on A Prairie Home Companion, WGBH's Caught in the Act and GCTV's Valley Homegrown. They've shared the stage with Jerry Jeff Walker, Rick Danko, Carlene Carter, Mark Erelli, Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr., Marshall Tucker Band, Laura Cantrell, Bottle Rockets, Al Anderson and Fred Eaglesmith just to name a few. So get on the dance floor now before the song ends. This ain't no jam band friends. This is pure hick rock and it smells like diesel! lonesomebrothers.com lonesomebrothers1.bandcamp.com

The Quaboag Vibe ~ A five piece passion project of over 20 years in the making featuring Steven Baer of The Luthier's Co-op on guitar & lead vocals, his brother Dan "The Manager" Baer on bass & vocals, and three good friends Derrick Thurston on drums, Stephen Malachite on percussion, and Jason Moses on keys. They gratefully offer their creative contraption with love and devotion to craft and community - aptly described as alt fusion folk art rock with deep conscious lyrics, warmed organic edges & a whole lot of heart with expansive influences ranging from David Byrne to Pink Floyd to Fela Kuti and everything in between. Growing up on The Quaboag River in Monson MA, Steve & Dan have been writing & playing music together since they were old enough to strum guitars. With childhood friend Derrick on drums plus Stephen & Jason rounding out the group, they'll warm your spirit, draw us in deep, get the room dancing, & rock hard & true with their uplifting original music filled with memories of summertime Quaboag Vibes.
