The Lonely Hearts Silent Reading Club is hosting its second event to celebrate the season of love with the love of reading. This is an introvert's dream come true, a way to enjoy the winter season together and come together as neighbors.
At The Lonely Hearts Silent Book Club, there's no assigned reading. All readers are welcome—ebooks, audiobooks, textbooks, comic books... it's BYOBook.
Schedule of Events:
30 minutes to mingle when everyone arrives (when readers can share the books they brought) and eat some yummy snacks.
An hour for silent reading (with a five-minute warning before the end so readers can wrap up) and eat MORE yummy snacks.
30 minutes at the end for everyone to discuss what they read and if they would recommend it!
This event is built for our 18+ year olds.
The Civic Love events are part of the work Main Street Eureka Springs is embarking on to encourage us to become better neighbors. This work is community building at its core and is extended through our quarterly Civic Sessions developed through our fellowship with Citizen Univeristy.
