Loneliness: Feeling Alone in a Crowded World
About this Event
Presented by Finding Inspiration Foundation in collaboration with Mental Health America of Central Carolinas (MHA) and their Intentional Relationships in Life (IRL) program.
Loneliness isn't always about being alone. It can exist in relationships, families, workplaces, and full rooms. This event explores how loneliness shows up in daily life, why it's so under-discussed, and how we navigate feeling unseen or disconnected in a world that constantly tells us we should feel connected.
This month, we're partnering with MHA's IRL program, which connects adults through friendship and supports people facing social isolation as they build supportive, natural relationships. It also offers an ongoing place to stay connected long after the conversation ends.
Angela Garlins of MHA will facilitate our community discussion.
1 in 6 people worldwide is affected by loneliness (WHO), and it shapes both our physical and mental health. Together, we want to open the conversation and point toward real connection.
Join us for short films, honest conversation, and food and drinks.
Come as you are, and leave knowing you're not alone.
