4th London International Chinese Music Festival (LICMF) 24th to 28th Aug 2026
We are excited to announce our 4th Chinese Music Festival in August 2026, featuring summer school, workshops, grading exams, competition, concerts and cultural activities!
In partnership with SOAS, University of London and the China Nationalities Orchestra Society (CNOS, China), the festival is organised by China Arts (UK), the London Youlan Qin Society and UK Chinese Music.
The festival comprises:
· 5-day Summer School, 24–28 August mornings
· Grading Exams and Competition, 27–28 August
· Concert series
· Yaji Literati Gathering – Guqin Music, Poetry, Traditional Costume and Tea (Free)
· Master classes/workshops in the afternoons
· Calligraphy and Chinese chess
· Singing and Choir workshop, and Instrumental Ensemble in the afternoons
This year features a new Chinese Singing and Choir Class, and an exciting new Sounds of East Asia project.
Main musicians and artists include Cheng Yu 程玉, Chen Dacan 陈大灿, Huang Ziyang 黄子洋, Yang Kang 杨康, Ji Mengdie 冀梦蝶, Chia-Yin Hung 洪嘉吟, Lu Zongpu 路宗璞, Dennis Lee 李光泰, Wang Wei 王蔚, Wan Ying 万英, Jing Hui 蒋慧, Lin Chen 林晨, Dr Hwee-San Tan 陈慧珊 and Qin Lei 秦蕾. Guest international musician Li Haisheng 李海生, Hong Yue 洪悦, Xie Liqing 谢丽清 and Wu Dan 毋丹
As places are limited, early registration is strongly recommended.
