LONDON: Autumn Intensives (Course 1)

Both weeks will be led by our wonderful team of Rehearsal Director Frédéric Despierre, and Rehearsal Assistant Yeji Kim.

In Week 1 Fred and Yeji will be joined by our inspiring company dancers Alex Haskins and Tristan Carter.

These courses will share repertoire from Hofesh’s brand-new creation Theatre of Dreams. We are so excited to share this new work with the world – this course takes place a few weeks after our UK premiere run in London and before we take the piece on the road for our autumn tour. Come and join us to explore this mesmerising new work! We want to let you know that both weeks will cover similar content, so we highly encourage you to join us for either option.

Each morning will start with a full warm-up class, exploring Hofesh’s fundamental movement principles in the context of a company class – this is the way we work on tour, and in rehearsal periods, preparing the body for Hofesh’s movement language by engaging in different tasks and intensities through improvisation. After a short break we will share repertoire – a different extract each day.

These courses are open to dancers, teachers and dance students – anyone looking to enrich and deepen their practice or training, and of course anyone interested in getting to know more about our work. You must be 18 years of age minimum, and we warmly welcome all ages upwards of that. Whether you are new to Hofesh's work, or you have already danced with us before, there will be something for everyone to discover during the week.

The course will culminate on the Friday of each week with a sharing of some of the repertoire learnt throughout the course. This sharing will take place in a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and we warmly encourage all participants to invite guests to enjoy the studio sharing on this date.
