LOLipops Comedy With Headliner Sean Meo at The White Hart Southwark

If you want a great night out seeing hilarious stand up comedy in an intimate venue then LOLipops @ White Hart in Southwark is the place for you! An exciting monthly night of stand-up brought to you by lovers of great comedy and featuring some of the funniest comedians around.

What an amazing show we have for you this month with the hilarious SEAN MEO as our headliner with a super-awesome line-up including the half Sri Lankan Coventry lass Stella Graham, and 5 other great acts! Our MC for the evening will be the brilliant Katie McLeod. It's going to be a real night to remember.

Thursday June 30th. Doors open at 7.15 for a 7.30 start and we will be finished by 10.

A winner of the esteemed Time Out Comedy Award, Sean Meo is widely acknowledged as one of the best performers and writers on the UK stand up comedy circuit.

Sean has made several appearances at the prestigious Montreal Comedy Festival and has featured at other comedy festivals, including Melbourne, New Zealand, Kilkenny, Edinburgh, Singapore and South Africa. He has also worked extensively in US locations such as San Francisco, New York and Las Vegas.

His numerous TV appearances include The Stand Up Show (BBC One), Tonight at the London Palladium (ITV), The Clive James Show (ITV), The Comedy Store (Channel 5), The World Stands Up (Paramount Comedy), The 11 O’Clock Show (Channel 4) and They Think It’s All Over (BBC One).

First up we have the legendary JIMBO!

Jimbo is a cult act. Everyone seems to know him. He's a comic of many years experience and now in his 70th. With brilliant timing, playfulness and physical comedy he reflects on growing old, delivers polished left-field gags and rages against the madness around him.

"Jimbo is something of a legend...He is a real character too. A man in old age on a scene dominated by the young...a real personality." Chortle.

We also have the hilarious MOLLY MULSHINE. “She’s a ‘vixen’ with a cause, and she knows it... Her jokes [are] stories with sharp-edged manicured claws of a wild macaque. A lady who knows what’s up.” – ComeHereFloyd.

Since 2013, Molly has been performing her unique blend of scathing social commentary and millennial sensibilities all over the New York and London metropolitan areas. Her jokes have killed in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley, London’s West End and the Jersey Shore.

Molly is also one third of The Junior Mrs, a comedy trio whose debut album, The Junior Mrs Presents The Best of KKOC, is coming soon.

We have CARL HURST who talks about his life experiences and work in a very witty and dark way.

We will also be welcoming the excellent DANE BUCKLEY! Dane is the world's ONLY left-handed, Irish, Indian, gay comedian. Probably.

Located just by Southwark underground station, 5 minutes walk from Blackfriars station and 10 minutes from Waterloo.

By TubeSouthwark is our nearest tube station, served by the Jubilee line. From the station, exit south on Blackfriars Rd/A201 towards The Cut, turn left onto Union St/B300, then turn left onto Great Suffolk St and walk 400 yards - you’ll spot the pub on your left.

By Train

Blackfriars is our closest mainline station (five minutes’ walk away), while Waterloo and London Bridge stations are also within easy reach (10 minutes).
