Swinging and Fun: The Pete Neighbour Quartet
ColaJazz is proud to feature Pete Neighbour and his band! From the gritty streets of East London to the hallowed halls of the Palace of Versailles, Pete has carved out a career as one of the world’s most versatile and sought-after clarinetists. While his roots are in rigorous classical training, his heart beats for the Swing Era, a passion he brings to life through a masterly command of jazz improvisation.
Here’s a snapshot of a life lived at the center of the spotlight:
A-List Audience: Pete doesn't just play for crowds; he plays for icons. His resume includes private performances for the British Royal Family, cinematic legend Michael Caine, and rock royalty Mick Jagger.
Global Stage: His clarinet has been his passport, taking him from the Lincoln Center in New York to the Cannes Film Festival, and even aboard the legendary Orient Express.
A Historic Note: In a career-defining moment, Pete was invited to perform at an official Inaugural Ball for President Barack Obama in 2009.
Versatility Personified: Whether he’s headlining an intimate jazz club in New Orleans, entertaining on a luxury cruise liner, or performing at the Royal Albert Hall, Pete’s artistry bridges the gap between sophisticated tradition and high-energy entertainment.
Pete remains a premier fixture on the international scene, blending technical brilliance with the timeless, infectious spirit of jazz.

ABOUT THE COLAJAZZ LOFT SESSIONS
There is a difference between hearing music and experiencing it.
At the ColaJazz Loft Sessions, we specialize in the latter. Nestled in a chic loft high above Main Street, we have created Columbia’s dedicated space for the hip, the cool, and the curious.
Forget the crowded bars and the noise. This is an intimate listening room where the sophisticated ambiance meets a soulful atmosphere. With a rotating lineup of incredible talent, every month brings a fresh sound and a new story.
The catch? Seating is intimate and very limited to preserve the experience. The reward? An unforgettable night of culture and community.
