MONDAY, APRIL 27th
THE L4 JAZZ COLLECTIVE
The “L” in L4 Jazz comes from the name of the band leader and drummer Lamar Morgan. Morgan originally made a trio with bassist Travis Shaw and pianist Nery Kim. Despite the original group being three people, Morgan decided to call the group L4 Jazz to include musician friends. And you should expect one this night, too!
Nery Kim is a South Korean pianist and composer who began playing piano at the age of six. Nery has performed around the world - places such as Indonesia, South Korea, China, Turkey, Central America, and the United States. She has worked with numerous musicians as a composer, arranger, pianist, and keyboardist on various albums. In 2021, Nery released her debut album, "PURPLE REFLECTION," featuring John Petitucci, Alex Sipiagin, Dayna Stephen, Alan Ferber, and Jonathan Pinson.
Travis Shaw is one of the most trusted musicians and bassists in Augusta, Georgia. A few more of his notable collaborations have been with Rob Foster, Wycliffe Gordon, Niki Haris, A Step Up, and Karen Gordon. He also plays with many of the areas top musical organizations including The Augusta Symphony.
Lamar Morgan, jazz drummer and bandleader is a powerhouse, soulful, sophisticated and nuanced. He is a very melodic drummer.

ABOUT THE COLAJAZZ LOFT SESSIONS
There is a difference between hearing music and experiencing it.
At the ColaJazz Loft Sessions, we specialize in the latter. Nestled in a chic loft high above Main Street, we have created Columbia’s dedicated space for the hip, the cool, and the curious.
Forget the crowded bars and the noise. This is an intimate listening room where the sophisticated ambiance meets a soulful atmosphere. With a rotating lineup of incredible talent, every month brings a fresh sound and a new story.
The catch? Seating is intimate and very limited to preserve the experience. The reward? An unforgettable night of culture and community.
