Out By Lucy

Out By Lucy is a four-piece rock group from Ottawa, Ontario. We write songs about a wide variety of important subjects, including historical figures, cryptids, birding, family, habitual drug use, watersports, and the complexities of shoe etiquette.

We like guitar music. Specifically, we like the kind of guitar pop and rock that makes you want to sing along, preferably with a chorus that gets stuck in your head against your will. Our influences range from the Beatles and Oasis to garage rock and whatever else we happen to be listening to that week.

We started the band in 2018 after spending a lot of time hanging around Waupoos Marina with a French bulldog named Lucy. Since then, we've played shows around Ottawa, Ontario, and Quebec, released a handful of songs, and generally tried to make music that is catchy, funny, and a little bit strange.

Our songs tend to be short, our live sets tend to be loud, and we take a DIY approach to pretty much everything. Some people have called us “next up.” Others have called us “genius.” Both of these statements are true.

Plus!

Plus! is a four-piece alternative rock band from Montreal, Quebec. Blending indie rock, garage, and pop influences, the band pairs catchy melodies and driving guitars with an energetic live sound. Drawing inspiration from acts like The Killers, Horsegirl, and Alvvays, Plus! has quickly established themselves within Montreal’s independent music scene, performing at venues and festivals throughout the city. With a growing catalogue of original material, the band continues to develop a sound that balances infectious hooks with a distinct alternative edge.

Loch Nisse Monster

Loch Nisse Monster is an Ottawa-based folk-rock artist whose work blends storytelling and atmosphere into a distinctive musical voice. Drawing on influences from folk traditions, retro rock, and contemporary singer-songwriters, the project is defined by intimate, witty lyricism, textured arrangements, and commitment to warming hearts. Each performance is crafted to feel immersive and personal, inviting audiences into a shared storytelling space energized with melodic rock. Since debuting in 2023, Loch Nisse Monster has steadily built momentum through compelling live performances at venues across Canada and become a staple in the local festival network.
Loch Nisse Monster’s debut album, Forensis (2025), is the concept record of a crime scene as a metaphor for a breakup. The follow up deluxe version was released in 2026, titled Forensis (Solved).

Loch Monster Media

Loch Monster Media is an Ottawa-based indie arts and entertainment initiative. What began as a way to create more opportunities for local artists grew into a series of concerts, festivals, showcases, and community events throughout Ottawa.

Loch Monster Media has produced events including Spring Indie Folk Fest, Summer Swelter, Soul & Roll at The Gladstone Theatre, Punk Frenzy, and Forensis: The Musical M**der Mystery. The organization focuses on creating curated yet welcoming events that connect emerging and mid-level artists with audiences seeking out quality fun. All while contributing to the sustainability of Ottawa's independent music community.
