Location Lighting for Portraits Workshop (December 2022)

Come and learn how to light and shoot amazing portraits on location using off-camera battery-pack powered flash lighting! It's a great opportunity to learn how the pros do it, and capture stunning and unique location portraits at the same time!

More and more, photographers are using battery-pack powered flash lighting for their on-location portrait lighting. More powerful than conventional speedlights and just as portable, these lights (eg. Jinbei, Godox, Elinchrom) allow for exceptional creative and professional quality lighting that you can bring on location.

This workshop is ideal for photographers who want to learn how this style of lighting works on location and to leverage the power of these lights. If you have always wanted to shoot stunning outdoor portraits with off-camera flash lighting, then this is a great opportunity to learn how to creatively balance ambient and background lighting, and to explore ways in which lighting can be used for professional quality and creative results

All you need to attend is your interchangeable lens camera (DSLR or mirrorless), and a mid-range telephoto lens that can cover the focal lengths of around 50mm - 200mm. We will supply the lighting (Jinbei) and triggers.

This mini-workshop is limited to 8 participants in order to maximise your learning and shooting time with our model/s.

What you will need:

• Your Interchangeable Lens Camera (Mirrorless or DSLR)
• Lenses in the focal length range of 50mm - 200mm (full frame equivalent; if you use a crop frame, then the crop frame equivalent will be sufficient)
• There is no need for a tripod for this workshop.
