Locals I Know Talent Showcase and Afterparty

Locals I Know Talent Showcase and Afterparty is a monthly series that helps performers develop their business skills, get discovered, find opportunities, and make money. Get paid to perform in the following categories:

• Guest DJ – $800, 1 Slot available.
  
• Showcase DJs – $100, 3 Slots available. (10) minute set mixing musical styles and genres with technical skills.
  
• Featured Musicians – $400 per band member, 1 Slot available. (30) minutes to perform original songs.
  
• Showcase Musicians – $200, 3 Slots available. (10) minutes to perform (2) original songs to music selected, prepared, and provided by the performers. No singing or rapping over lyrics.
  
• Dancers – $100, 3 Slots available. (10) minutes to perform a routine to music selected, prepared, and provided by the performers. Breaking, Popping, Locking, Krumping, House, and All Styles accepted.
  
• Spoken Word Artists & Poets – $100, 3 Slots available. (10) minutes to perform an original piece.

Showcases will be videotaped or live-streamed by Locals I Know. Other opportunities for local artists include:

• Open for national acts.
  
• Video features on Locals I Know.
  
• Appearance on Spread Love FM.
  
• Monthly recurring income of $2/month per viewer.

Music

Mp3 must be the only file on a USB flash drive and provided to the event host or guest DJ. Music must be free of derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libelous, indecent, sexual, profane, and indecent material that promotes hatred, discrimination, or harm against any group or person. The event organizer(s) has the right to refuse music that does not comply.

Schedule

Showcases will be held at the Pegasus Lounge & Niteclub in Tampa, Florida, on the second Saturday of every month.

• 8:00-9:00 – Guest DJ and networking.
  
• 9:00-9:30 – Spoken word showcase.
  
• 9:40-10:10– Dance showcase.
  
• 10:20- 10:50 – Musician showcase.
  
• 11:00-11:30 – Featured musician.
  
• 11:30-12:00 – DJ showcase.
  
• 12:00-2:00 – Guest DJ and afterparty.

Apply By December 10

1. Become a member and create an Electronic Press Kit (EPK) with at least (3) released singles on Spotify or Soundcloud and/or (3) music videos or performances.
2. Create an availability to perfom.

This is a 21 and over event.
