Throughout each year San Antonio Zoo offers “Locals Days” featuring $8.00 admission tickets for Bexar County Residents. New for 2024, the zoo will be celebrating each City Of San Antonio Council District and each Bexar County Precinct on different dates. While all Bexar County residents can take advantage of any Locals Day, on September 24 the zoo will be celebrating and highlighting Precinct 1 on World Gorilla Day!Dive into the fascinating world of gorillas with our engaging Gorilla Story Time, where captivating tales about these majestic creatures come to life. Let your creativity soar during the Gorilla Nest Building activity, an interactive experience perfect for kids. Explore the World Map of Great Apes to discover their global habitats and learn more about these incredible animals. Plus, don't miss the Layers of the Jungle poster, where children can unleash their imagination by adding pictures of their favorite jungle animals.
