This 1-day event brings together council leaders, digital practitioners, and technology partners to share practical insights, co-create solutions, and build a stronger digital future for public services.

LocalGovCamp NORTH returns and we look forward to playing host to those working in Local Gov Service & Digital Transformation from across the North of England to a 1 day in-person gathering where the day will blend structured inspiration with open collaboration.

The day will be made up of:

Keynote Presentations – Hear from pioneering councils and thought-leaders on the future of automation, data, and digital platforms.
Hands-on Workshops – Practical sessions tackling real challenges:
– Automating the right services responsibly
– Building trust with residents through data
– Designing citizen-friendly digital platforms
Unconference Sessions – You set the agenda. Space to explore the burning issues your teams face, with peers who’ve faced the same.

Topics to be explored will include:

AI in Local Gov issues: Funding, Skills, Capacity, Where is the best return for all?
How can councils deploy automation without eroding public trust or jobs?
What’s needed to unlock data sharing across local services while staying compliant and ethical?
How do we avoid vendor lock-in and design digital platforms that are open, flexible, and citizen-centred?
What practical steps can councils take to close the digital divide in communities?
How do we build the skills, culture, and partnerships needed to deliver sustainable digital transformation?

LocalGovCamp NORTH Social Weds 12th Nov (Evening)

Since returning to in-person sessions post Covid, we have encouraged attendees to meet-up the night before LocalGovCamp and enjoy a few libations and a curry at different curry houses across the UK.

We will be locating the finest curry house in Leeds for this meet-up and we hope attendees can join us (but it isn’t compulsory)
