On Saturday June 13th, ILION plus prepares for an evening of relentless EBM, dark disco and jagged post-punk, welcoming Berlin-based duo Local Suicide alongside local heroes Eddie Dark and pigs kaput.
A true force within the global dark disco and mutant techno underground, Local Suicide have spent over a decade carving out a distinct sonic identity. Blending heavy EBM basslines, new wave synth hooks and propulsive electronic rhythms, the duo will present a special hybrid DJ set featuring live vocals. It is a masterclass in brooding, high-energy dancefloor mechanics. With a prolific output that bridges the gap between classic body music and modern club sounds, their performance is perfectly engineered for pitch-black, smoke-filled rooms.
Joining them is Eddie Dark. A captivating figure in the contemporary darkwave space, he brings a unique format to the night, delivering a DJ set combined with the first ever live performance of some of his new material. Melding lo-fi synth-punk energy with unapologetic theatricality, expect erratic drum machines, icy synthesizers and raw, commanding vocals that drag the 80s underground kicking and screaming into the present - a visceral descent into the gothic spectrum of dance music.
Opening the proceedings, pigs kaput provide a blistering introduction to the night. Their sound is an uncompromising collision of experimental punk and electronic noise - unpolished, urgent and entirely vital.
