Local Nonprofit Launch: Huruma Health

We are celebrating the launch of Huruma Health, a student-started nonprofit aiming to mitigate nutrition-related issues in third world countries. Starting out in an EXP class at Bob Jones University, our team was worked for four months to develop solutions for measuring malnourishment. To carry this mission forward, a nonprofit was established with 501C3 status in December of 2022. In November of 2022, Huruma Health partnered with the Center for Community and Global Health on a research trip to St. Ghana. Our first validation test was conducted and a second one is expected for May of 2023. More information can be found at hurumahealth.com.

The event will consist of live music, dinner, and a presentation from our board that will include a product presentation. All profits will go directly towards market research and the continued development of our products over the next several months. We hope you can make it!
