Diositopes is the fervently evolving project of SQ and Zachary Pitnick. The two-piece began in 2021 and has incorporated elements spanning diverse, even opposing, musical genres. At its core, Diositopes is frequency worship focusing on the somatic experience of sound, with an emphasis on heaviness, noise, and color to explore the diverse ranges of catharsis. Comprising of SQ's simple minimal electronica set up ontop an unearthly vocal performance in counterpart with Pitnick’s noise bass amplification cranked to 11, the eccentric project has made audiences voyage to the strangest corners of the soul.
Diositopes' new project, Snake Recognize Snake, will be performed on this night. Many of these songs will not be played live again, in line with the project's sole focus on genre-bending, demolition, and experimenting that has garnered a cult-like status in Portland..
