Rock out with ANCP! This is their Local debut show and debut Album release party! Andrew Neil & Code Purple is an electrifying alternative rock band on the rise, led by the talented front-man and masterful songwriter, Andrew Neil. What sets this band apart is not only their infectious music but also the incredible journey and inspirational story behind their music. Their first ever gig was in Nashville, in March 2023 opening for the Realyn Nelson Band (Willie Nelson's Granddaughter). Since then, ANCP has been developing their musical chops, recording their debut album, "Resurrection", and writing new songs. They are more than ready to give you the best original music since Nirvana.
Hailing from diverse backgrounds, the members of Code Purple have come together to create a unique sound that blends, alternative Roc powerful melodies with thought-provoking lyrics. At the heart of their music is Andrew Neil, whose personal story of resilience and triumph serves as a driving force for the band's creativity. Andrew spent three years behind the steel doors of Western State Psychiatric Hospital in Staunton, VA.
“Code Purple” Front-man, Andrew Neil, is celebrated as an "Outsider music artist," following in the footsteps of iconic figures like Daniel Johnston, Roky Erickson and Syd Barrett. Despite never learning to play cover songs and lacking knowledge of even basic chord shapes, he developed a unique and hauntingly emotive guitar style, reminiscent of Nirvana's iconic unplugged concert in New York in November 1994. Andrew has penned an astonishing 450+ original songs since surviving his life-changing car accident in 2009, establishing himself as a fiercely independent and compelling force in the world of outsider music.
