About this Event

After years of cycling continents, rowing oceans, and trekking across deserts and ice caps, Alpkiteer Alastair Humphreys turns his eye closer to home by asking, ‘is a single map enough exploration for a lifetime?’

To celebrate the launch of his new book, Local, hear Alastair speak about curiosity, the importance of time spent outdoors, and the need to protect the wild places on our doorstep.

Join us at 7pm from Alpkit Kingston for an evening of local adventures, exploring whats possible within a single map. Alastair will give you an insight ot whats possible from your front door and how you don't have to go far to find an adventure. We will celebrate curiosity, time spent outdoors, and a look at how we can protect our local wild spaces. The evening will be a reminder that nature and adventure is much closer than we think.

Entry includes a signed copy of Local, a free drink, and 10% off anything bought in the Alpkit store that evening.
