Local Author - Lori Foster

When I Was Little follows a granddaughter sharing her emotional journey with her grandpa. She reminisces about all the things that her grandpa taught her, including calling squirrels. As her grandpa begins to lose his memory, she learns about strength, resilience, and the power of love.

Lori Foster is a writer and early childhood special education teacher, originally from Mercer, Pennsylvania. She has a bachelor’s in human development and family studies from Penn State University. In 2014, Lori’s Dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She currently resides in Manassas, Virginia with her dog, Hope and her cat, Serenity. She teaches in the Manassas area. When I Was Little is her first book.
