Local 59 Plant Network - Soup and Seeds Gathering @Lasdon Park & Arboretum

Bring ethically sourced, ecotypic seeds, and your favorite soup to share. We will gather, network, and discuss our hopes for the upcoming 2025 season.

Lasdon Park and Arboretum is Westchester County’s Public Garden and is the site of active research projects including SUNY ESF American Chestnut research, UMass Amherst Hemlock diversity study, and USFS regional oak orchard. Lasdon is also in the planning stages of building the Westchester County Tree Nursery. All of these can be viewed and discussed at the gathering as well as a preview for the Holidays on the Hill Train Show.

Event is free but registration is required. RSVP and let us know what seeds/soup you will bring. Bowls, silverware, and outlets for crockpots will be provided. Please bring a serving spoon and a crockpot/warm pot for serving.

Directions to Lasdon Park & Arboretum: enter the main entrance off route 35, follow signs to the main visitor parking lot. Enter the garden through the green gates and follow signs to the Main House. The Seed and Soup Gathering will take place in the Main House and Holidays on the Hill will take place in the Conservatory.
