About this Event

We will meet by the Mt. Airy Trailhead at 11:30 am before we embark North on the White Trail to encounter some beautiful geology. On our loop back South via the Orange Trail, we’ll enjoy a peaceful hike along the banks of the Wissahickon Creek and reach the Fingerspan Bridge, a sculpture by internationally renowned artist Jody Pinto that functions as a pedestrian bridge. Our ending point will be the Frog Pond for some light snacks. The overall hike will take approx. 1hr to complete depending on the group size.

All attendees will be entered to win a raffle prize!!!

You will be sent an email with the specifics of the meet-up location, parking suggestions, what to wear/bring and a waiver you will need to complete the day before the event so check your email for updates.

About LO’s COVID-19 Guidelines

After careful consideration and consultation with LO leaders about the resumption of in-person outings, we have implemented the following measures to allow us to safely gather in person while minimizing the risk of community spread:

New policies and procedures

1. All attendees must maintain physical distancing.

2. Anyone who feels sick or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19 should stay home. In the case that someone begins displaying symptoms during an outing, they will be escorted back to their vehicle to go home and rest or separated from others until they can go home.

As the pandemic evolves, so will our approach to keeping you safe. We thank you for your patience and flexibility as we manage this, and invite you to check in with us if you have any questions.

What you can expect from LO

To ensure the number of people present at in-person gatherings does not go beyond what is considered safe by local health guidelines

To be given accurate and truthful information about LO outings in the context of COVID-19

Adherence to county level public health department guidelines

What LO expects from participants

We take safety at our community outings very seriously. We ask participants to self-certify that they do not have symptoms, have not been diagnosed with or had direct contact with a known or suspected COVID-19 case in the past 14 days, and will comply with LO’s safety policies and procedures. Together, we can ensure safe, positive, and meaningful experiences in nature.
