LO Central Coast | Bilingual Native Plant Hike on East Cuesta Ridge Trail

Latino Outdoors Central Coast, in partnership with the , will lead an easy to moderate two mile walk on the to observe a vast array of native plants, including some rarer plants only seen is a few areas of the county. We will look for Santa Lucia Manzanita, Tan Oak, Coulter and Knobcone Pines, Madrones, and Oaks, in addition to numerous other native plants species. Visit to learn about native plants. The views from this trail are incredible and extend over San Luis Obispo toward the ocean to the west at Morro Bay and south by Oceano Dunes. All ages and abilities are welcome. The hike leaders are bilingual.

Logistics: Meet at the top of Cuesta Grade on the east side of Hwy 101 (northbound) and park on the right side of the road, at the top of the hill. Please wear sturdy hiking or walking shoes, dress in layers for changing weather, a hat and sunscreen are recommended, and bring a water bottle. A snack will be provided. Note: Restrooms are not available on this trail. Please use facilities in advance of your arrival.
