Part of Love Music Hate Racism's national tour of gigs against the far right. One Beat, Many Sounds will be a feast for your ears, and music to shake your ass to! Everyone is welcome.
If you haven't seen them live yet, then don't miss our headliner. Their name pinched from a Dionne Warwick song, San Jose wield their forthright, raucous and versatile reputation with a snarled grin. They took our street music festival stage by storm back in August and we're so excited to have them back. Although falling under the ever expanding umbrella term of “post-punk” San Jose have a dedication to avoid musical confinement, the six-piece often incorporate instrumentation uncommon to heavier styles of music, such as brass and accordion, and interweave it with their punk attitude. Supported by 3-piece rock band Risco, who have been making a name for themselves around Teesside by developing a raw, heavy, melodic sound inspired by mod culture. DJ Isa Gordon will be spinning the tunes to round off this party with a purpose!
This gig is in Jim's Bar at the Queen Margaret Union, so get your ticket now before it sells out!
