About this Event
The Loyola Law School Orchestra returns to the beautiful Our Mother of Good Counsel Church for an evening devoted to love, passion, longing, and joy—as told through some of the most luminous pages of the orchestral repertoire.
This concert invites audiences to celebrate love in all its forms: the quiet intimacy of reflection, the intoxication of desire, the tenderness of memory, and the exuberance of shared joy. From shimmering impressionist colors to sweeping Romantic energy, the music traces an emotional journey that feels at once deeply personal and universally human.
Program highlights include:
- Antonín Dvořák – Symphony No. 8
A radiant celebration of life, nature, and heartfelt emotion—overflowing with warmth and generosity. - Claude Debussy – Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune
Sensual, dreamy, and suspended in time, this iconic work evokes desire, reverie, and the poetry of longing. - Claude Debussy – Clair de Lune (orchestral version)
A tender meditation on love, memory, and moonlit introspection. - And more, in a program designed to unfold like a love story—intimate, passionate, and luminous.
Set in the glowing acoustics and romantic atmosphere of Our Mother of Good Counsel Church in Los Feliz—just below the Griffith Observatory—this concert offers a moment to pause, listen, and reconnect with what moves us most deeply.
Whether shared with someone you love or savored as a personal journey, this evening promises music that breathes, embraces, and inspires.
✨ Join us for a night where love speaks through sound.
