About this Event
WEEK 7 Beginner
F Fly. The F Fly is a *dry fly* pattern designed to imitate small mayflies, midges, or caddisflies. It is characterized by its simple construction, typically using CDC (Cul de Canard) feathers, which allow it to float delicately on the water's surface. The F Fly imitates adult insects or emerging insects that are trapped in the surface film. It should be fished with a dead drift in calm or slow-moving water, where trout can often be seen sipping small bugs. Its simplicity and versatility make it highly effective during hatches of smaller insects.
Join our fly-tying experts and learn how to tie some of the most effective flies for both salt and freshwater.
Classes will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning November 6, 2024 and ending March 26, 2025. No classes on December 25 and January 1.
