One of our most popular events. Liwa is an amazing, amazing region, and this is an affordable and enjoyable way to experience. Now, we’re adding the telescope to enjoy stargazing after our campfire! Drive from Dubai for 3 hours. Abu Dhabi 2 hours.
Saturday:
Arrive at the residence, have a snack and swim, dinner and hike under the stars!
Our hike today will be just a short 1.5 hours to experience the sunset and the moon and stars rising up.
We will be back in time for our big bbq dinner and bonfire tonight for an early morning tomorrow.
Sunday: SUNRISE HIKE
Early wake up and hike out under the last of the starlight from 5:30 am until 9:00 am (around 4 hours, the goal of 10 KM) Sunrise in the desert is magical, something not to be missed! Everyone will have a 'rest stop' every hour which may seem like a lot, but this is the way we ensure that everyone stays hydrated and healthy. We will walk back into our camp for a full lunch and a jump in the spring-fed pool on site. We will be walking on our own through the desert feeling like a real Lawrence of Arabia, never too far from safety but remote enough to feel the weight and remoteness of the Liwa desert surrounding you.

Meeting time starting at 1pm in Liwa.
Cost: 890 Dh plus VAT
What’s included:
Overnight in Desert Residence on Saturday night. You will be allocated a bed but the rooms are NOT evenly allocated, some rooms have 2,3 or 4 beds in each room.
You can choose to sleep outside (most do, under the stars, with all sleeping bags, mattresses and pillows provided) but we will allocate 20 people for the 20 beds at the facility.
• Morning snack in the desert on the magic carpet for sunrise 6:00 am (Sunday)
Full Breakfast upon return to camp.

Any closed shoes are fine
Backpack and 2L hydration bladder
