Capital Health's Living with Cancer Support Group provides an open and safe forum for patients to share their experiences with cancer. This support group aims to improve participants' well-being and reduce stress by:
• Providing emotional support through shared treatment experiences
• Alleviating isolation by connecting with others with cancer
• Increasing self-awareness on how to manage daily challenges related to treatment or aftercare from peers
• Sharing and exchanging community resources
• Providing education related to specific cancer topics
• Providing psychosocial support and sharing practical techniques to increase mental, physical and emotional well-being
This group is open to anyone who has been diagnosed with any type of cancer, regardless of where you are receiving treatment. Meetings are offered both in-person and virtually via Zoom. If you register for the virtual option, meeting details will be provided via email after registration.
