Join us on May 23rd, 2024, as Right at Home Leeds North, Otley, and Horsforth partner with Dementia Friendly Horsforth to host a special event dedicated to fostering understanding, support, and community engagement for those living with dementia.
This North Leeds event is open to caregivers, and the wider public of Horsforth, Yeadon, Rawdon, Guiseley, Adel, Bramhope and beyond.
This FREE event will take place at Lister Hill Baptist Church in Horsforth (LS18 5PW), promising a day filled with informative sessions, entertainment, and opportunities to connect with local resources and support networks.
Who should attend?
With 1 in 11 individuals over the age of 65 in the UK living with dementia, this event is essential for anyone impacted by dementia or eager to learn more. But beyond memory loss, the Living Well Showcase aims to cultivate understanding and unity within our community, extending support to all.
What to expect?
From 10:30 AM til 2 PM, explore 25 stalls featuring valuable information. Plus, from 10:30 AM til 4:30 PM, experience the Virtual Dementia Tour Bus. The aim of this is to give delegates a small taste of what it may feel like to live with dementia.
