Described as “profoundly moving” by Celtic Music Radio, Edmonton-based award-winning artist, Mallory Chipman, is known for her cinematic brand of folk-rock and powerful storytelling. Her recent album, Songs to a Wild God, hit #5 on the Folk International Charts and was featured on NPR, CBC, and Sirius XM, and earned her a nomination for Solo Artist of the Year at the Canadian Folk Music Awards. Chipman has opened up for Jann Arden and Madeleine Peyroux, and has sung back-up for the legendary rock band Heart, but it is with her solo project that she is continually stunning audiences across Canada, Europe, and Japan. Join Mallory Chipman at Living Roots Festival to witness what makes “her artistic stature undeniable” (Happy Mag Australia).
Known for her powerful voice, vivid imagery, and fearless lyricism, Ali McCormick is a true northern folk troubadour. Her songs move with the rhythm of rivers and back roads, blending rugged honesty with poetic insight. Whether she’s delivering a driving, rootsy anthem or a quiet, introspective ballad, Ali’s performances are marked by authenticity and emotional depth. For more than a decade, Ali has toured nationwide, honing her craft on stages across Canada and building a devoted following through the strength of her live performances.
