A Quiet Day led by Katherine Gantlett
Cost: £45.00 to includr lunch and refreshments.
The word ‘liminal’ comes from the Latin limen, meaning a ‘threshold’. Liminal spaces are places of transition and change. We will all find ourselves in these spaces many times throughout our lives.
Whilst liminal spaces are hard places to exist in, as Richard Rohr says, ‘much of the work of authentic spirituality and human development is to get people into a liminal space and keep them there long enough that they can learn something essential and new.’
During this retreat day we will journey together on a walking meditation that will help us to reflect on our own liminal spaces. We will reflect on the challenges and opportunities presented by liminal times. And ponder how, rather than trying to escape them, we can be fully present during times of liminality.
Weather permitting this retreat will have a mix of inside and outside meditations. Please come prepared to be outside.
