Meet the 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association at the Capitol Rotunda!
Saturday, June 27 • 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Montana State Capitol Rotunda, Helena
As part of the 250th U.S. Celebration, the 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association, in partnership with the Helena/Lewis and Clark County Heritage Tourism Council, invites the public to a special gathering of local historic organizations—right in the heart of the Capitol.
The 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association of Helena will be on site to share the stories, equipment, and living‑history interpretation that bring Montana’s frontier military past to life. Visitors can explore:
• Authentic 19th‑century cavalry gear and displays
• Interpretive discussions about frontier service, Montana Territory history, and daily life for soldiers
• Information on upcoming living‑history events and educational programs
• Opportunities to get involved as a member or volunteer
This event brings together many of Lewis and Clark County’s most dedicated historical groups, offering a rare chance to meet them all in one place.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a student, a family looking for an engaging weekend outing, or someone curious about Montana’s past, this is a perfect opportunity to learn, connect, and explore.
Admission is free. Bring your curiosity and say hello to the 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association!
