As part of the 250th U.S. Celebration, the 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association, in partnership with the Helena/Lewis and Clark County Heritage Tourism Council, invites the public to a special gathering of local historic organizations—right in the heart of the Capitol.
The 2nd U.S. Cavalry Association of Helena will be on site to share the stories, equipment, and living‑history interpretation that bring Montana’s frontier military past to life. Visitors can explore:
• Authentic 19th‑century cavalry gear and displays
• Interpretive discussions about frontier service, Montana Territory history, and daily life for soldiers
• Information on upcoming living‑history events and educational programs
• Opportunities to get involved as a member or volunteer
