Living as an Artist in a Capitalist System

This free and all-ages panel discussion takes place on January 29, 2025, from 5–7 PM at 150 Empire St, PVD. The conversation brings together Fem/Queer/TBIPOC-forward artists like —Anjel Newman, Shey Rivera, Yasmine Hassan, Jori Keeten, Sissy Rosso, Lilly Manycolors, Savaree “Sav” Hazard-Chaney, and Tarik Bartel—moderated by Ryan Lopes. Together, they will explore the realities of sustaining a creative practice in a capitalist-dominated environment. Covering topics like: demystifying finances for artists, balancing artistic freedom with business demands, fostering community collaboration, and leveraging intuition as a guiding force in decision-making.
