Three Iranian short films exploring queer lives, hidden desires, and acts of resistance. Language: Farsi with English subtitles.
About this Event

Join us for a screening of three acclaimed short films from Iran that illuminate lives unfolding beyond the boundaries of social acceptance and institutional power.

In The Last Wolf by Hossein Hejrati, a man seeks a reckoning with a figure from his past; in The Guard by Amir Hossein Shojaei, a night watchman drifts through the darkness searching for possibility; and in Italiano by Mehdi Davachi, two young lovers prepare for a dangerous escape.

Moving between intimate drama and social critique, these films explore queerness, longing, vulnerability, resistance, and the difficult choices people make in pursuit of dignity, connection, and self-determination. Together, they offer a nuanced portrait of contemporary Iran through stories that are both personal and political.

This event is collaboratively curated with Ainaz Azarhoush.
Language: Farsi with English subtitles.
