Have you ever wondered how to deepen your key lay leaders' theological foundations, equipping them to take a more significant leadership role in your church? Would you be interested in a course that could be exactly what you and they are looking for?
Have you noticed that the church at large is becoming more racially diverse, that more churches led by diaspora leaders are being planted than ever before, or that churches that are becoming more ethnically diverse are attracting more people? Then you might be interested in equipping yourself or your key leaders with a course for multicultural ministry in your own church.
The courses are the brainchild of Dr Harvey Kwiyani, of the Church Mission Society and TFH's Church Planting Coalition, who is starting a Liverpool School of Theology in the city this autumn.
Ahead of the start of the first term – of which more below – you are invited to a leaders' event to find out more about the school and how you can get involved.
The event will take place between 1 and 3pm at Frontline Church in Wavertree and lunch will be provided.
Malawian missiologist and theologian Dr Kwiyani, who has lived, worked and studied in Europe and North America for the past 20 years, said: "The Liverpool School of Theology comes out of a calling to respond to a need in the city.
"It's about theological education and leadership training for church members. In a time of revival like now, both these are critical."
The school will run two modules in 2025:
Theological Foundations for Successful Christian Living (hybrid)
This is for church members wanting to know more than a Sunday sermon can allow for.
Christian Service in Multicultural Contexts
This is a fully online ground-level leadership course for people thinking about multicultural/intercultural churches.
