At this event we welcome a panel of speakers who will be sharing their thoughts on the current state of the mergers and acquisitions market in the North West. Delegates will have the opportunity to put their questions to the panel.

Our panel

Jocelyn Morgan, Finance Director, Argyle Construction Group

Jocelyn is an experienced Finance Director, currently with the Argyle Construction Group. She has a multitude of experience across different B2B and B2C sectors, and was the driving force behind Clubhouse Golf’s two successful sales; firstly to German retailer All4Golf, and subsequently to investment house Bregal. Jocelyn was responsible for elements of the PE exit on the second sale, as well as forecasts, accounts, payroll, VAT, cash management, covenant monitoring and management, MI and Board reporting, HR and IT, as well as driving performance and efficiencies through team structure and development.

Previously, Jocelyn spent almost a decade with Galaxy Optical Services, the ‘engine room’ of Tesco Opticians; manufacturing and importing the end product and supplying this to 250 stores across the UK, Ireland, Eastern Europe and Asia. She has worked at Board-level since 1999, since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Lathams (now Tenon) in 1989, after graduating with a 1st-class Honours degree from the University of London.

Greg Doran, Head of TMT, Barclays

As Northern Head of TMT at Barclays since 2018, Greg supports a portfolio of the largest tech businesses in the region alongside leading Barclays strategy for the sector in the region. EV, Recurring Revenue and Venture lending together with Barclays Eagle Labs and the High Growth & Entrepreneurs proposition are all TMT specific propositions which allow Greg and the wider team to support this dynamic sector. Prior to this Greg has had roles in business development and leadership across UK&I. Greg is also a board director of Involve Northwest.

Kieran Donovan, Partner Head of Liverpool Office, Napthens

Kieran is Partner and Head of Napthens’ Liverpool office and leads the corporate team across the Liverpool City Region. He has over 20 years’ corporate transactional experience advising large corporates, owner managed businesses and family companies on mergers and acquisitions, buy and build strategies, business and share disposals, succession planning, joint ventures and shareholder reorganisations.

Kieran also regularly acts for management teams and regional institutional investors on venture capital and private equity fund raises and exits.

With a well-deserved reputation as a dealmaker, Kieran is widely recognised for his commercial approach to transactions and his ability to meet clients’ strategic objectives, both personal and business related.

Andrew Feeke, Corporate Finance Partner, MHA Moore and Smalley

Andrew heads up the Manchester office and joined the practice in 2019 as Corporate Finance partner.

Andrew has put his degree in Money, Banking & Finance to good use throughout his career, accumulating extensive experience across a broad spectrum of projects including; management buy outs, acquisitions, disposals, refinancing, fundraising and cash-out transactions. He also has significant experience of working with private equity houses on a range of deals.

He has extensive knowledge of owner-managed business, allowing him to proactively advise clients and always deliver the best outcomes. Andrew’s wide variety of experience has allowed him to gain involvement across many sectors, with specialisms including healthcare and manufacturing.

Stephen Gregson, Corporate Finance Director, MHA Moore and Smalley

Stephen joined the MHA Moore and Smalley team from KPMG Corporate Finance in Manchester in 2002. To date he has advised businesses on mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and strategic planning across a wide range of sectors including waste management, haulage, construction, engineering and wealth management financial services.

At MHA Moore and Smalley Corporate Finance he has continued to focus upon advising owner managed businesses on strategic direction, mergers and acquisitions, and fundraising.
