Maddie May graduated from KCAD and moved into a live/work unit with her schoolmate Gina Masterson. They lived in the back half of the space and the basement with two cats, running monthly art shows and programs in the front half as Bend Gallery.
One block down Division, three friends, Elyse Welcher, Jacob Vroon, and Meg Roach, opened Parliament Boutique, a store of
their handmade leather and textile goods.
Next door, Marlee Grace rented a live/work unit to open Have Company, a shop of artist-made goods and used the living space to house the artists of her artist-in-residence program.
