Join Bangor Beautiful for a free, hands-on workshop on live staking, a simple and effective way to restore streambanks and improve native habitat.Participants will learn the basics of live staking, how to identify some common invasive species, and why native habitat restoration matters for erosion control, water quality, and cooler stream ecosystems. We’ll also have a hands-on planting session, and participants will get to plant their own live stakes and take some home.
No experience is needed, and all ages are welcome.

Where: Kenduskeag Stream Picnic Area, 30 Valley Ave, Bangor, ME
Please wear sturdy shoes that can get wet and muddy, and dress warmly.
