It was so great to catch up with my good friend Bryce Allyn in the studio today. You already know his music from our intro podcast sounds. Thank you Bryce!We started talking about this collaboration event a long time ago and it is finally coming to fruition.
Actually this has been a REALLY long time in the making. Back in high school days Bryce and I would played drums all the time together. Something about connecting through rhythm takes communication to an amazing level.
Bryce LOVES music. He has been playing music professionally ever since. If you have ever seen Bryce live you’ve felt his energy and passion for music and it is so inspirational.
A while back ago I had the chance to take a Capoeira aka Brazilian Martial Arts class. I was blown away! A live drum beat was played along with other instrumentation while smooth and powerful movement patterns were performed to the rhythm.
Light bulb moment. I thought how cool would it be to do this with yoga. So Bryce and I have been working on developing some different rhythm patterns that coordinate with breath and movement.
