About this Event
Anyone Can Master the Essentials of Personal Security
→ Have you ever wanted to learn how to protect yourself or your family—but don't know where to begin?
→ Have you become frustrated with complex, impractical, or unrealistic approaches to self-defense? Or maybe you have some skills, but realize there are missing links in the chain?
→ Are you concerned about the uncertainty of the world we are living, and want the confidence of knowing you can protect yourself, anywhere, anytime ...
If so, this course is designed for you.
Welcome to Live Ready
I'm Sam Rosenberg.
In 1996, after a stint as a Marine officer, I became a close protection specialist. I had the privilege of bodyguarding some of the world’s highest-profile individuals including notables such as Tom Cruise, PM Benjamin Netanyahu, and Warren Buffet, among others.
But in 2003, I had a philosophical shift...
"It's good to have a lifeguard, but it's better to know how to swim."
As a result, I shifted gears from protecting people and organizations, to teaching them how to protect themselves - with the same skillsets and mindset elite close protection specialists use to protect public figures.
I've been on a mission ever since—to empower others with these critical life skills. Not just so you can better avoid or manage violence, but so you can live life on your own terms, with the unique brand of confidence that only comes from knowing you can protect yourself and your family ... anywhere, anytime.
The world is filled with dangerous people, but living ready is not about waiting for the lifeguards, living in fear, or avoiding all risk. It's about recognizing that life itself involves risk and that peace of mind cannot be achieved by outsourcing your security to others. To Live Ready is to take full responsibility for your own protection. To have certainty—not that life will be free from danger or trouble but in your own ability to respond.
It's about becoming, when needed—a dangerous person yourself.
About This Training Seminar
This immersive event distills the most important lessons learned—over the past 25 years of research, development, and practical application—into a practical, simple, and immediately usable series of lessons, as easy to learn as they are comprehensive.
We will cover the full spectrum of unarmed defensive tactics—from how to recognize danger and avoid trouble, to managing "interviews" that precede an attack, to the physical defensive tactics needed against the most common attacks - including defense against edged weapons and guns.
Using our unique "compression learning system," which combines interactive lectures, hands-on skill-building workshops, and practical simulations, you will be systematically introduced to key concepts and techniques that you'll then progressively apply against more complex scenarios as the course progresses.
This allows you to master a small, but highly versatile "toolbox" of skills and processes, that can be applied against a wide array of situations and threats.
This "vertical" approach to learning builds high-level skills quickly and simplifies decision-making under stress, enabling you to always know your options and priorities, and allow for automatic, physiologically-based responses to threat stimuli. All of which can be relied upon to work under adrenalin.
During this immersive 1.5-day day event you will learn how to:
- Implement our simple, proven, 3-step process for protecting any person or place
- Enhance your radar by knowing what to look for, how to look, and when to achieve the situational awareness of an elite operator
- Understand the 3 key types of bad guys. How they select their targets, and why, and how you can tell if you are being targeted - even if they use charm, or persuasion to create opportunities to victimize
- How to identify and deal with the most dangerous predators in nature - sociopaths (who shockingly, are as common as 1 in 25 Americans)
- Overcome paralysis and panic even in a critical incident, and the key to mastering your mind under stress—so you can always think, make decisions, and act
- Unleash your inner Jason Bourne by learning how to use pens, magazines, and cell phones as powerful improvised weapons and force-multipliers
- Instantly disrupt someone’s nervous system and incapacitate an aggressor with your bare hands— without risk of hurting your hands
- Neutralize someone pinning you to the ground and escape
- When and how to use a remarkably simple gun disarm that works against handguns, and long guns, in defense of yourself or another, from varying distances and circumstances
- Recognize hostile surveillance by even professional-level bad guys, and know what to do if you find yourself being followed or stalked
- How to scan and read a room, crowd, or person and habituate good security habits to always know your options - and how to teach these skills to your family
- Simply and effectively defend against edged weapons
- Realistic and effective defensive tactics against punches, grabs, and holds
- Strategies and tactics for operating as a family unit including verbal and non-verbal signals, roles, responsibilities, and priorities when you are together, and how to teach your kids what to do in an emergency
- And much more ...
