Heads up, Natrona County!We are conducting a county wide LIVE test of our outdoor warning sirens on Friday, SEPTEMBER 26th, 2025. We will test each siren individually; therefore, the entirety of testing is expected to take place from 9 am to approximately 12 pm.
Do not be alarmed if you hear sirens during this time frame. Outdoor Warning Sirens are designed to be heard while outdoors. Please do not contact emergency services, or 9-1-1, to report the sirens on September 26th.
We encourage you to “participate” in the test by listening to the sounds of the siren while outdoors. When you hear the sirens, practice assembling in a safe indoor place and seek further information. Emergency Management will post information on our social media pages as well as in this group regarding the beginning and ending of the live test.
If the possible weather of producing tornadoes is present on the day of the test, the test will be rescheduled to not interfere with any potential real Outdoor Warning Siren needs. As of today, rescheduling due to weather is not a concern.
In addition, we will be conducting a practice test of Konexus Alerts for community members who are signed up. This test will take place near the 9 am mark on September 26th.
