Bryan Rosengarten and Bob Anthony make up the acoustic duo that is an extension of bay area band the Electric Sea, who recently played on WMNF's Live Music Showcase. The Electric Sea set sail in early 2023 when longtime bandmates Bob Anthony (guitar/vocals), Bryan “Bo” Rosengarten (guitar/vocals), and Francis Blacklin (multi-instruments) added new members and dialed in a few new sounds, which can be heard on their debut EP “Loose Five” across all streaming sites and through BandCamp. Anthony and Rosengarten, the band’s chief songwriters and longtime solo performers as well, also play live shows as a duo, combining the band’s thick catalog of tunes with favorites from many genres and eras, and some good old front porch jams and snappy banter. Blacklin sometimes joins in to fill out the sound with percussion, guitars of many types and (ssssshhh!) the occasional synth exploration-Thus, The Electric Sea: Acoustic. There are plans to rope in the other Seamen, drummer Clayton Jones and new bassist Paul Louis out for a full-on Electric Sea: Acoustic hootenanny. Whether it’s one, two, three, four, five—or even more, an Electric Sea acoustic show will never leave you seasick!
